Southwell Cricket Club provides a high-quality cricket facility (ECB Club-mark accredited) to our local community and continues to welcome anyone with an interest in the game, together with their family and friends. The Club currently runs two senior Saturday cricket teams, playing in the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League, a senior Sunday team, playing in the Newark Club Cricket Alliance, together with our youth teams competing mainly in the Mansfield & District Youth League.

Over the next five years, the Club has set out a number of ambitious development plans, in line with its continued fulfilment of the above objective. These are divided into five distinct areas which require investment support from external funding, over and above that raised from membership fees and other existing income streams:

1. Improving and extending our coaching facilities for junior and senior players
2. Enhancing the pavilion to better accommodate visitors and players
3. Continuous improvement of our already fantastic ground - one of the best in Nottinghamshire. we think.
4. Investment in an electronic scoreboard
5. Provision of kit, equipment and good communication to ensure the game is accessible to all and that players are proud to represent our club

In total we need to raise in excess of £20,000 to fulfil our present goals.

We presently receive regular support from a number of businesses and individuals within the community for which we are extremely grateful. However, there is a need to attract new sponsors who are interested in supporting cricket in Southwell and would like to engage in a longer-term relationship with the club.

In return we can offer a degree of positive exposure to the local community through publicity and communication with our members and the general public. There are also opportunities to gain wider exposure, for example through kit sponsorship or involvement with our annual Sportsman’s Dinner at Trent Bridge.

Meaning of Sponsorship:
A quantifiable financial donation (goodwill included) by an individual or company, to support Southwell CC achieve the objectives detailed in the Club’s 5-year plan.

Sponsorship Opportunities for 2020 and what SCC can offer in return:

1. Club Kit Sponsor:
We are delighted to announce CPS Drainage Solutions as our new kit sponsor with a two year deal.

2. Electronic Scoreboard Sponsor:
Through the Sportsman's Dinner in 2019, the August bank holiday 6-a-side tournament and the incredible fund raising efforts of Andy Ashworth we are delighted to have secured the funding for a brand new electronic scoreboard for Top Ground. We are hoping that this will be installed and ready to go for the 2020 season. Thank you to all who contributed to make this possible.

3. Sponsorship of the annual Sportsman’s Dinner held at Trent Bridge:
This event becomes more successful every year, with over 160 people attending in 2019 and at least that number expected for 2020. Attendees to the event come from a broad range of the community representing all sports and many Nottinghamshire based business people.

We are seeking £2000 sponsorship towards the cost of each event, in return for:
- display sponsors logo and literature at the event – this includes banners, LCD screens, menu card and tickets
- collaborative promotion by the club via social media, website and local press
- display of business literature at the club pavilion
- sponsors logo in the fixtures-booklet (published each year)
- four tickets (worth £200) to our Sportsman’s Dinner at Trent Bridge

4. Match Ball Sponsorship
The money raised contributes directly towards the purchase of match balls and provisions on the day. You can sponsor any of the three senior teams and as many home matches as you like - the more the better!
We are seeking £25 sponsorship towards the cost of each match, in return for:
- sponsors name / logo (with hyperlink) on Facebook, Twitter on the day of the match (optional)
- a thank you bottle of Free Trade wine from Coop - you can select your preferred tipple (red or white)! NOT OPTIONAL

5. Sponsorship of various “in-kind” services
There are presently a few businesses who support Southwell CC through offering their services “in kind” for which we are ever grateful. Examples include D&H Plumbing, Southwell Coop, Best Sports, Southwell Life & Fusion Printing. We would like to encourage more support of this type so if you think your business has something to offer, please get in touch.
In return for sponsorship “in kind” we offer:
- Sponsors logo on the Pitchero website along with hyperlink to their own site and brief description of activities
- collaborative promotion by the club via social media, website and local press
- sponsors logo in the fixtures-booklet (published each year)
- display of business literature at the club pavilion

Some points about our general publicity of the club:

- Our website regularly receives over 200 hits per week and being linked to the Pitchero sports site network has national exposure.
- We are active on Facebook and Twitter
- We publish an article each month in the local press (The Bramley) and more occasionally in The Newark Advertiser
- Our club has over 250 members
- We are not able to display sponsors logos on the outfield or building unless they fall into Sponsorship category 1,2 or 3.
