Senior Cricket 1 of 6

1. Introduction

Southwell Cricket Club presently run three senior men's teams from a squad of around 50 players and an expanding women's section open for all.

During the winter we train at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on a Thursday night and during the summer training moves to Thursday night at at Top Ground, based behind Brackenhurst College on the Nottingham Road, just outside Southwell.

The club has serious ambitions to develop senior cricket to the highest standards. We presently have a good mix of players but would like to attract new players to help strengthen our teams and would welcome anyone with a serious interest in the game.

A number of our senior team have come through the ranks from our vibrant Junior Cricket set up where we encourage children to get involved in cricket at any age and ability. Our ECB qualified coaches work with them to help develop cricketing skills and knowledge of the game. We are always looking for senior players who would like to coach and there are good opportunities for existing ECB qualified coaches to get involved.

Before you can be selected to play senior cricket for Southwell CC you must complete the Senior Registration Form and pay the required fees in full. You must also register with Pitchero and complete your profile details.

Please note that Southwell Cricket Club expects all players to adhere to abide by our selection policy and carry out their duties as club members - please see Players Secetion Policy and Responsibilities
