CPS Managing Director, Neil Walton commented:

‘Our management team and technicians have a keen sporting interest and, following on from the sponsorship of the Annual Sportsman’s Dinner last year, we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to have a greater involvement with the club. It is hoped that the two year sponsorship deal will help the club to see to fruition their desire to attract new players along with improvements to the facilities.’

Company Secretary and Financial Director, Cheryl Walton remarked:

‘Coming from a sporting family background at local level, I am well aware of the financial challenges clubs face and it is a pleasure to be able to offer our support.’

Southwell Cricket Club Chairman, Chris Miller stated:

‘I am extremely pleased that CPS have supported Southwell CC. It demonstrates that businesses local to the community have a vested interest in their community. It is hoped that their continued support for the next two years and potentially longer will enable Southwell CC to attract new players and grow from strength to strength.’

As part of the club’s ongoing improvements to their facilities, Ross & Sam Walton, Operations & Technical Directors, feel that the proposed live streaming of matches to Facebook is an exciting development, opening the games to the wider community and hopefully, in time, providing a new income stream for the club.
