Best Sports is a specialist shop, based in The Bull Yard, Southwell, where Paul Best offers a personal service to customers who need sporting equipment and clothing.

Paul opened the business in 2014 after working many years for Wilson Sporting Goods. As a number of you may remember, this is not the first time the Best family have owned a sports shop in Southwell: Cedric Best was Paul’s father and ran his own Sports shop in 1974, based in Kings Street.

Paul worked with his father until moving on to further his career with Wilson. Now he’s back and once again providing the high quality of service that is often missing from larger national chains and the internet.

The Best family have supported Southwell Cricket Club throughout both generations, including providing kit for the juniors this year and now becoming the first local business to sponsor a Match Ball!
The shop stocks a range of equipment and clothing for racket sports, swimming, running, football and rugby. He also offers a range of cricket products, available on your doorstep.

Outside of shop hours, Paul often visits local sports clubs where he displays a selection of equipment for trial – this includes regular visits to our Junior Cricket coaching sessions on a Friday night at Top Ground (6-8pm), behind Brakenhurst Campus.
